Careers

Mader was built by mechanics who understand this trade isn’t just a job—it’s something you earn through long days, tough environments, and real experience.

Now our underground team is growing, and we’re bringing on experienced hard rock mechanics who want more: better rotations, stronger support, and the chance to keep building their skillset across top-tier equipment and sites.

• Consistent rotations (2:1, 7:7, 3:3, 2:2) you can actually plan your life around
• All travel covered – flights, accommodation, and meals handled
• Long-term projects with established crews (not constant churn)
• Exposure to a wide range of underground equipment and OEMs
• Opportunities to work across multiple sites and expand your experience
• A team run by people who’ve actually worked underground

What You’ll Be Doing

• Diagnosing faults and performing breakdown repairs underground
• Completing planned maintenance and inspections to a high standard
• Supporting production equipment uptime in hard rock mining environments
• Ensuring quality workmanship through testing and final checks
• Identifying parts, tools, and opportunities to improve reliability

What You Bring

• 5+ years working on underground hard rock equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
• Experience with planned maintenance, inspections, and breakdowns underground
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the field
• Experience across multiple OEMs (Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT, Normet, Getman)
• Strong safety mindset and awareness underground
• Reliable, team-oriented, and able to integrate quickly
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen

What You Get

• Flights, accommodation, and meals fully covered
• Consistent work on long-term underground projects
• Exposure to multiple sites and equipment types to keep building your trade
• Flexibility to move between projects as your experience grows and interests evolve

If you want strong pay, structured rotations, solid crews, and the chance to keep growing across different sites and equipment, this is the kind of role you build a career on.
